Attention All Gardeners!

Our Pioneer Village volunteers are looking to get a village garden started again this year but we are going to need help. The plan is to try to plant period correct plants, herbs and dying plants. You don’t have to commit a large amount of time if you don’t want to, even pulling weeds will help! For those of you interested in gardening in the village several of us will be getting together Sunday, March 7th at 12:00 p.m. to discuss placement of the gardens and get a list of plants that we should grow. Let’s meet at the bridge/dogtrot area and move from there.

Pioneer Village Garden Meeting
Date: Sunday, March 7th
Time: 12:00 p.m.
Location: Fowler Park: Pioneer Village-Bridge/Dogtrot Cabin

2020 Christmas Walk Cancelled

We cannot thank our volunteers, community and staff enough for your support and patience over the past year. Trying to navigate this pandemic has proven to be quite challenging and frustrating. With that being said, we have put a lot of thought and discussion into the feasibility of being able to safely put on this year’s Christmas Walk.

With concerns over rising COVID-19 numbers in Vigo County and surrounding counties, in addition to advisements to cancel large gatherings made by the Vigo County Health Department, and with a vote of support by our Board, we have made the decision to cancel the 2020 Christmas Walk. This decision was not made lightly but when it comes to the safety of our volunteers, community and staff, we believe your safety above all else is most important.

We wish you all a happy and healthy holiday season and we greatly look forward to being able to gather and celebrate with you all again soon!
